Dignity Action Day 2022

1st of February is Dignity in Care’s Dignity Action Day!

In previous years we have celebrated this with Digni-TEA events and creating Digni-Trees at our sites, where we have written what Dignity means to us. Our events have always been focused on discussing the importance of being treated with dignity and treating others with dignity at all times.

Supporting people is a great responsibility, and our support workers appreciate the level of trust the people we support must put in us within our role. Dignity in our support is always at the forefront of our mind, and most importantly we respect what is important to the individual and their family.

Last year our in-house Dignity Champion team came up with the idea of a work sheet for Dignity Action Day that we could ask the people we support if they wanted to complete. It was designed to be fun, accessible and could be completed however they wanted to. We loved it! So we have done the same thing for this year too!
